Meaning of Taj Mahal is “Crown of the Palaces”. It is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in Agra. Taj Mahal is actually a mausoleum built to house the remains of Mumtaz Mahal in 1632. Mumtaz Mahal was a favorite wife of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.
2.The Red Fort (Delhi)
Red Fort is a historic fort in Delhi. It was known as the capital of the Mughal Empire in India for nearly 200 years, until 1856. It is located in the center of Delhi. It was also known by the name Quila Mubarak. Every year on the Independence day of India, the Prime Minister hoists the Indian “tricolor flag” at the main gate of the fort.
3.The Golden Temple (Amritsar)
Golden Temple is a Gurdwara located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. It Is also known as Darbar Sahib or Sri Harmandir Sahib. The Gurdwara is built around a man-made pool (sarovar) that was completed by Guru Ram Das in 1577.
