After it was revealed earlier today in the trades that Ms. Marvel was coming to Disney+, Kevin Feige has revealed at D23 that two more iconic heroes will be joining her on the small screen: Moon Knight and She-Hulk! It has also been confirmed that Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan will cross over into MCU theatrical films as well.
She-Hulk and Moon Knight live-action series are in development at the upcoming streaming platform Disney+. All are derived from Marvel comics. The Ms. Marvel character, Marvel’s first Muslim superhero, also will be featured in movies, Feige said.
Ms. Marvel tells the story of teenager Kamela Khan, who was Marvel’s first Muslim character to lead her series. A Pakistani-American from New Jersey, Khan can changer he shape.
She-Hulk debuted in Marvel Comics’ “Savage She-Hulk” #1 in 1980, created by writer Stan Lee and artist John Buscema. Her alter ego is Jennifer Walters, the cousin of Bruce Banner/Hulk, who after being shot is provided a blood transfusion from Bruce that turns her into a similar green monster. She’s also a member of the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, Defenders and S.H.I.E.L.D.
Moon Knight aka Marc Spector is a former CIA agent who was almost killed by a terrorist named Bushman. Marc’s life was saved by the Moon God Khonshu. Marc kills Bushman and becomes Moon Knight. Four personalities dominate Marc’s head including Steven Grant, Jake Lockley, and Khonshu and they work with each other and fight for control at various times. Moon Knight was created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin. He first appeared in the August 1975 issue Werewolf by Night #32.
